Executive Director, The Freedom Center for Independent Living, Inc.

Jody Hougentogler is the Executive Director of the Freedom Center for Independent Living (FCIL) in Middletown, Delaware, where she leads efforts to empower individuals with disabilities through advocacy, education, and support services. Under her leadership, FCIL provides free core services funded by the Administration for Community Living, helping people with disabilities live independently and participate fully in their communities.

In addition to her role at FCIL, Hougentogler serves as a parent representative on the Family SHADE Advisory Board, which supports children and youth with special health care needs in Delaware. Her work reflects a deep commitment to disability rights and inclusion, rooted in the values of the Independent Living Movement.
